What is the difference between a cold and allergies? How can you tell when they both present with congestion, coughing, and a general sense of malaise and muddied head? I certainly don't know. What I do know is that I have something, and it involves a little bit of coughing, a dry (rather than sore) throat, and various other complaints, none of them acute. I'm almost fine. I'm in that space where, if this is the worst of it, I'll be okay--but if this is a precursor to something more intense, I'm screwed. Who knows which way it will go?

The itchy eyes and clear, if congested, head lead me to believe it's an allergic reaction to some of the natural beauty I traipsed around in up in the Bay Area last weekend. If that's the price, I have to say I'm okay with it. Wouldn't you agree?

And back home, my mother randomly and without warning decided it was time to get a Yorkie. Named Pudding. As in Yorkshire Pudding, of course:

All in all, an excellent weekend all around!

Ok, Pudding is just all kinds of adorable despite, or maybe because of, his name.

I am more tempted than I care to admit to just hop on a plane and dog-nap her.

As someone who lives in the allergy capital of the US, they both suck. Allergies can turn into something that feels as miserable as a cold. Maybe take a claritin next time before you leave.

I am not normally a fan of small dogs, but Pudding is absolutely adorable. I think your mother had a very good random and without warning moment! You might want to keep her away from the waves at high tide up here though!

first of all, i was JUST saying to justin yesterday that i wanted a yorkie and then i read your journal that your mom got one! i met the cutest yorkie puppy the other day and could hardly give her back. plus, growing up our next door neighbors had one named rocky.

in addition, my mom called me the other weekend saying that she thought they were going to get another dog that afternoon. that afternoon. totally random. what is happening with the Siblings??

hope you are well!
love!
