What is the difference between a cold and allergies? How can you tell when they both present with congestion, coughing, and a general sense of malaise and muddied head? I certainly don't know. What I do know is that I have something, and it involves a little bit of coughing, a dry (rather than sore) throat, and various other complaints, none of them acute. I'm almost fine. I'm in that space where, if this is the worst of it, I'll be okay--but if this is a precursor to something more intense, I'm screwed. Who knows which way it will go?
The itchy eyes and clear, if congested, head lead me to believe it's an allergic reaction to some of the natural beauty I traipsed around in up in the Bay Area last weekend. If that's the price, I have to say I'm okay with it. Wouldn't you agree?

And back home, my mother randomly and without warning decided it was time to get a Yorkie. Named Pudding. As in Yorkshire Pudding, of course:

All in all, an excellent weekend all around!
